Wen Wen Van Der Wende, Composer

Instrumentation: SATB Choir or SSAA Choir, Treble Instrument, Piano

Lyrics: Traditional

Duration: approx. 5.5 min.

Program Notes: “Northeastern Cradle Song” is a traditional Chinese lullaby appropriately found in north east China. It holds personal significance for me because it was the first song my adopted mom learned to try to bond with me. After she got me from the orphanage, she sang this song and my eyes “lit up with recognition.”
