Program Notes: Niagara in Winter was inspired by a painting of the same name by John Henry Twachtman, an American Impressionist. This piece echoes the delicate nature of ice and the strength and vastness of the waterfall itself. It was written for the New Britain Museum of American Art Collaboration with The Hartt School Community Division. 

Premiere Information: Niagara in Winter was premiered at American Art, American Music: New Compositions Inspired by the New Britain Museum of American Art Collection on April 1st, 2022.
