Program Notes: a tired sun is a reflection on the ambiance at the library on my campus. I tend to visit on sunny days, drawn to the giant windows that overlook the campus green. In the overwhelming heat, I find all of the burdens of the week hovering over my head, but never crashing. 

Premiere Information: a tired sun was premiered by the Hartt Composers' Ensemble at RE:CONNECTING Live & In-person on December 1st, 2021.

Recording Information: a tired sun was recorded by recording engineer Cliff Robbins-Sennewald with sixteen students, faculty, and alumni from The Hartt School, University of Hartford in Fall 2021.
